About Us

We Are Insiders Costa Rica

Certified Travel Advisors living across Costa Rica — in the provinces, towns, and communities you want to experience.

Most travel advice about Costa Rica comes from people who visited once and wrote a blog post. Ours doesn't.

We're a team of certified Travel Advisors based across Costa Rica's seven provinces. We live in the towns you're asking about. We know the roads, the local guides, the family-run sodas, and the lodges that don't show up on any booking platform.

When you buy our guide or request a custom itinerary, you're getting advice from someone who drove that road last week, ate at that restaurant last month, and knows which "hidden gem" already has a tour bus parking lot by 9am.

Where We Are

Our advisors live and work across all seven provinces of Costa Rica.

ALAJUELA PROVINCE

Where Insiders Costa Rica Began — Headquarters

⭐ Atenas (Headquarters)

The town where it all started. Sitting in the Central Valley just 20 minutes from Juan Santamaría International Airport, Atenas is where our office is, where our founders live, and where the idea for this platform was born. Named by National Geographic as having one of the best climates in the world.

Also covering: Grecia · Sarchí · Naranjo · Zarcero

Dry season beaches, surf culture, luxury resorts, and the best sunsets in Costa Rica.

SAN JOSÉ PROVINCE

San José · Escazú · Santa Ana · Turrialba

LIMÓN PROVINCE — Caribbean Coast

Puerto Viejo · Cahuita · Tortuguero · Manzanillo

A completely different Costa Rica — Afro-Caribbean culture, chocolate farms, sea turtles, and the best snorkeling in the country.

Coffee country, river rafting, rainforest lodges, and birdwatching that rivals anywhere in Central America.

CARTAGO PROVINCE

Cartago · Turrialba · Chirripó

Colonial history, the country's highest peak, active volcanoes, and agricultural heartland. Don't miss Hogwarts Cafe in Cartago — Costa Rica's only Harry Potter themed café, complete with Butterbeer and floating candles.
